Most tickets and fines for violations which occur within the city limits can be paid at the Central Payments Division of the Clerk of Courts located in th lobby of the Dayton - Montgomery County Courts Building at 301 W. Third St., Dayton, OH 45402, Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets and fines can also be paid after hours, on weekends and holidays at the Clerk's Office in the Montgomery County Jail Lobby at 320 W. Second St., Dayton, OH 45402.

The goal of the Clerk's Central Payments Division has been to offer alternatives to having to report in person to pay tickets and fines. Most tickets and fines can be paid with credit card, VISA or MASTERCARD, over the phone by calling 333-4302. Mailed payments can be made by enclosing the ticket with either a certified check, money order, or personal check (no starter checks) for the amount of the fine.

Fine amounts for parking tickets are printed on the back of the ticket. Fine amounts for most traffic citations are printed on the mailing envelope provided to you by the issuing officer. Fine amounts for most payable tickets are provided on the fine schedule on this web site. To determine fine amounts not listed, call 333-4302. If the words minor misdemeanor do not appear at the top of your ticket or if this is your third or more moving violation in the past 12 months, a court appearance is required before any payment can be accepted.
