COURT ORGANIZATION

The court has five full-time judges, each elected for a six year term of office. To be eligible for election as a judge, an individual must be a licensed attorney with a minimum of six years of practice and a resident of the City of Dayton. The court appoints two full time magistrates who perform judicial functions as assigned by the judges. Other administrative, professional, and clerical support is provided by fifty-eight employees which include: a court administrator, court operations manager, probation officers, court reporters, assignment coordinators, bailiffs, marshals, secretaries, law clerks and legal assistant.
